The 60th International Congress of Young Lawyers will be held on August 22–27 in Singapore. The theme of the conference will be “The future of the legal profession.”

Marcin Wujczyk will take part in a panel discussion on algorithmic management in the context of labour and migration law. During the panel, participants will try to answer the following questions:

  • Do companies need to inform and consult with their works council when implementing such technologies?
  • Can employers legally shift part of their employer’s authority to technology, and how can they mitigate the risks of unfair dismissal and discrimination claims when doing so?
  • What about privacy and GDPR issues?
  • And how is employee mobility impacted by automated immigration processes?

Marcin Wujczyk will participate in the Manufacturers' Forum organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland.  The conference is designed to answer the most up-to-date questions asked by companies from the manufacturing sector.

Agnieszka Lisiecka and Dr Marcin Wujczyk will discuss the trends and challenges facing employers and HR departments in the near future. They will give their presentations during sessions in Katowice, Kraków and Szczecin (27 and 28 November and 5 December 2019).

The aim of the conference is to examine the labour market on the micro scale and share with participants the most important challenges and the needs of candidates, employees and business partners. The organiser of the event is Wolters Kluwer Polska.

As part of the meeting organised in cooperation with HAYS Polska and the British Polish Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Marcin Wujczyk will talk about the challenges associated with employee social media use from the perspective of employers.

On 11 September we invite you to the next meeting in the Kraków HR Talks series. The theme of the event will be the duty to maintain confidentiality and to avoid competitive activity. The event will be held at the Kraków office of Wardyński & Partners.

At the meeting, Dr Marcin Wujczyk will discuss such questions as the situations where competing activity cannot be prohibited, what the ban covers, and how long a ban on competition can be imposed, as well as when an employee or employer can avoid a ban on competition.
