As of 1^st January 2023, the per diem rate applicable to a domestic business trip is PLN 45 (legal basis: ordinance of the Minister of Family and Social Policy of 25^th October 2022 amending the ordinance on business trip entitlements payable to employees of publicly funded state or local government units).

Less than a month after increasing per diems for domestic business travel, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy presented a new ordinance proposal that further increases the per diem rate applicable to domestic business travel from PLN 38 to PLN 45. This increase is justified by the current economic situation and the 2023 inflation forecast.

As of July 28, 2022, employees will receive higher per diems for domestic business travel. The change arises from an order of the Minister of Family and Social Policy dated 30 June 2022 amending the ordinance on dues payable to an employee working in an officially funded state or local government unit for business travel. The ordinance increases the per diem for domestic travel to PLN 38 per day of travel. Previously, the amount was PLN 30.
