On 13 January, the Sejm adopted an amendment to the Labour Code and certain other legislation (regarding remote work and testing for sobriety), rejecting all of the amendments proposed by the Senate.

Rejected Senate amendments:

  • a binding on the employer request of an employee with disabilities to work remotely (left the request of an employee caring for another member of the immediate family or another person in a household with a certificate of disability or a certificate of significant disability),
  • occasional remote work for 30 days in a calendar year (left as 24 days),
  • request for remote work from parents of a child up to 10 years (left as up to 4 years),
  • a 3-month vacatio legis for certain provisions of the Act, including provisions introducing remote work (left as 2 months).

The Act will be submitted to the President for signature.
