Length of service in numbers – applications and certificates from the Social Insurance Institution („ZUS”)
From 1 January 2026, regulations will come into force permitting periods other than employment under a contract of employment to be added to a length of service.
By 26 January 2026, ZUS had received 309,612 applications for certificates confirming such periods. ZUS is processing them within 7 days in accordance with the Code of Administrative Procedure.
ZUS has announced that it has already processed 228,806 applications, resulting in the issuance of a total of 508,469 certificates (one application can result in the issuance of several documents).
