Polish ministry does not plan to set minimum subsidy for workers' glasses
A group of Members of Parliament (MPs) sent a question to the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy (MRPiPS) regarding a possible revision of the regulations. The ministry has replied that it does not intend to make amendments to the regulations setting the minimum amount of the subsidy for eyeglasses and corrective lenses.
According to the regulation on health and safety at workplaces with visual display units, which was amended last year, employers are obliged to subsidise the purchase of eyeglasses and corrective lenses for some employees working with visual display units. However, the current regulations do not set a minimum value for this contribution, making it difficult for employers to apply the regulations correctly.
We have written more about the obligation to subsidise eyeglasses and corrective lenses here.
