Key changes:

• a trade union's request for notification of the number of managerial staff may now be submitted not only in writing, as hitherto, but also in documentary form (e.g. e-mail) or electronically (with a qualified signature);
• a works council's request for information on the employer's economic situation, staffing levels and planned organisational changes can now be submitted not only in writing, as hitherto, but also in documentary or electronic form;
• notices given by an employer to a trade union regarding a transfer of the workplace and the number of managerial staff may, in addition to written form, be given in documentary or electronic form if agreed in a collective agreement or separate agreement with the trade union;
• information provided by an employer to a works council may, in addition to written form, be given in documentary or electronic form, subject to the works council's prior consent.

The act was sent to the President and awaits his signature. It will enter into force 14 days after publication in the Journal of Laws.
