The Sejm made a final decision on increasing penalties for employers
On March 13, the Senate removed from the law on the conditions for employing foreigners those provisions that would have increased penalties for employers breaching labor laws, and those introducing a new type of an offence by an employer.
Senators argued that the amendments to the Labor Code were made in breach of the constitutional legislative process.
The Sejm accepted the Senate's amendment, thereby abandoning the increase in penalties for employers. The final decision on the proposed changes will be made by the President.
