Cash equivalent for vacation leave to be paid by the 10th day after termination
The Government Legislation Center website has published a changed version of the deregulation bill which we described on our portal. The bill relaxes the formal requirements that apply to certain documents that are mentioned in the Labour Code, and clarifies issues related to employee representation in matters concerning a Company Social Benefits Fund (ZFŚS) and the deadline for paying the cash equivalent for unused vacation leave.
The original text of the bill provided that the equivalent was to be paid on an employer’s regular payday. The latest version of the draft retains the rule, but adds a provision stating that if a payment was due before the date of termination of employment, the equivalent must be paid within 10 days of the ending of the employment.
