New HR and payroll system - changes on the horizon
The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy is working on implementing a central HR and payroll system, which aims to simplify and digitise employment-related processes. In an earlier post, we mentioned the work on this solution. Below we present some new and more detailed information on its implementation.
Pursuant to the Act of 16 November 2022 on the ICT system for handling certain contracts (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1661), the system is to be launched by 23 January 2026 at the latest, with an expected start date in the second quarter of 2025.
The new solution will enable the electronic conclusion of employment and commissioning contracts, using a qualified or trusted signature. The system will also support entrepreneurs in keeping records, calculating leave entitlements or determining tax dues, offering a simple tool for effective HR management, especially for the smallest employers.
Initially, the system will only be available to individuals, farmers, micro-entrepreneurs and companies with up to nine employees. Larger companies will have to wait for the system to be extended in the future.
